update...

Hey all. Well, on Friday I found out that Stacy and my friend Allie didn't make ColorGuard. And...me neither. Before you go expressing sympathy, however, let me just tell you that I was amazed to realize I was more grateful and relieved then sad and disappointed. It's just...I was afraid I'd get way overwhelmed next year, what with school, homework, teen library council, academic team, Youth group, prayer group, Youth Alive...and ColorGuard...so I prayed that God would help me find a way to not be overwhelmed by all this. I guess his answer was for me not to make ColorGuard...so yeah, I'm actually pretty grateful. Which surprises me a ton.

Today my cousin was in the Marshfield Cherry Blossom Queen contest...and got first runner-up...she was really sad and crying a little...she's not used to losing stuff, she wins everything...please pray that she'll get more losing opportunities and take it in stride...

Oh, and tomorrow is my Youth pastor's and his wife's last day at my church...they're moving to Tennessee or Kentucky to help run a church that my pastor and his friend always wanted to start back when he lived in Mississippi (two years ago), and he feels God is leading them there...so please pray for them to have safe travels and for my church to be wise in choosing a new Youth leader who can take his place...he was cool, he helped me smash my doubts about God and my faith...and please pray that I will wake up in time tomorrow to go to church and say goodbye...

Well, guess I got to go. My sis wants me to watch a movie with her. Before I go, I want to dare you guys to check out Timothy 4:11...it's my second favorite verse ('Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young....')...and to listen to Dare You to Move by Switchfoot (even though you've probably already listened to it), and Radiance by Time of Favor...these songs are really inspirational, I think...g2g!

2. my church- we got a donation recently, its a lot of money...for me anyway. I ask that we know what to do with it and use it wisely to do God's will.
3. sister- one word...grades
4. me- Just to have a closer walk with God and to hear him when he speaks to me
5. us- I love you all and I pray that God will use this group to speak to each and every one of us..............................................................................................................yeah, that could be taken as mushy...oh well

Umm

is everyone trying to read the bible in a year?

Random, I know
just a question

Hi

First off, I wanted to tell you all about Blast; the performance I went to last night. It was absolutely amazing!!! I loved it and if there was any way possible, I would take you all with me. It was all fantastic, but I loved the drums. There was one part of the show when they were all lining up, with blacklights on above and their sticks were glowing!!! Knowing drummers, they can move their hands pretty fast...all you could see was bluish-green blurs of light because they were moving so fast. It was so cool. When I got home, I prayed to God and thanked Him for giving us talents. Everyone has some kind of talents and I was just happy I got to see/hear people who were blessed with the talent to play drums. There was one guy named Lance...I thought he was definately one of the best. Well, there were two who I consider the best.
Anyway...If any of you, any time in your life, have the oportunity to see Blast, GO!

Ok so...to the word we go....

I just finished reading Psalm 86:1-4. The verses in the bible...like, always apply to everyday life and these are no different. I think those four verses were written so that in 2006, Krystal Joiner would read them...
It says "I am poor and needy..." We all our poor. Compared to the riches in heaven, we have nothing...on earth. Ok, we do have grace and mercy, and hope... We are all in need of God. His presence, his word and his never ending love. I love these verses and they did bless me...

I hope this scripture helped you guys like it helped me.

the best story of friendship

Hey guys, what's up? I am finally ungrounded from the computer again, and just wanted to mention that for my year-long reading of the whole Bible, I am on 1 Samuel right now and just read the story of Jonathan and David for last night's reading. I loved that story when I was a kid, but understood it as much more now. Isn't it awesome how strong their friendship was? Even when Jonathan's dad, and king, Saul, tried to kill David and threatened to kill Jonathan if he helped him, Jonathan put his life on the line to make sure that David would stay safe. I think that it so awesome and that you guys are the same as Jonathan. I mean, you guys have helped me grow in my faith and not have as many doubts! Thanks! Also, my sister has asked me to write her prayer requests:1. her best friend's cat ran away and she's afraid it's going to be taken to the pound2. her friend Sierra's ankle was twisted and my sister wants that to heal3. my sister has a bruise that she wants to clear upAnd for me:1. my dad has a job interview this week or next, for a permanent position at his company (he's a computer engineer and they usually just keep them on for projects, but his boss likes his work), so please pray that he'll get thatAnd I'll be sure to look up those verses you guys posted. I might comment on them. This blog is a great idea, Hannah!

It's day four

Hey guys...I hope your guys's day has been cool-even after prayer group.
Man, I am glad Hannah decided to do this blog thing.
Honestly, I don't do devotion. I can see how much good it does for you guys, but I am always lost when it comes to devotion. I have tried multiple times to start doing it, but then...well, I stop for one reason or another. I hope and pray with you all's help, I can continue drawing closer to God.

I just got finished reading the verses for today; Psalm 40:11-17

Woh...That is totally how I feel-a lot. However, most of the time, it's myself I am fighting. More like...temptation. The distractions I have are so overwhelming that I can't do the things I want to do, even though I shouldn't do them...Romans 7:15-20!!!! I found this verse very helpful in describing all of our...fallings.(for lack of a better term)

Mark 7:24-30

Hannah,
Blogging! What wonderful idea! Whoever came up with it, awesome thinkin'. This will be a great way to communicate and talk about God and his messages. I actually have a verse or two I would like some help with. If you guys could read Mark 7: 24-30, and tell me what you think about it. I'd appreciate it. I don't really understand the lady's answer and maybe we could talk about what it means. I'll talk to you guys soon!
